Maddison Studios is a Bunbury-based music production studio offering everything from recording and mixing to connecting you with graphic design, videography, and artist support. We work with artists across Bunbury, Busselton, Dunsborough, Mandurah, Harvey, and beyond.
Who runs Maddison Studios?
Maddison Studios is owned and operated by Chris Panter, a music producer with 12+ years’ industry experience, supported by a trusted network of session musicians, engineers, designers, and videographers.
Where are you located?
Our studio is in Bunbury, Southwest WA. We serve artists from the wider Southwest region, both in-person and remotely.

Do you work with all genres?
We specialise in singer-songwriters, country, folk, rock, and alternative, but have experience across hip-hop, pop, R&B, and more. If you’re unsure, just ask!
Can I book a single service, or do I need a whole production package?
Both options are available. You can book individual services (mixing, mastering, etc.) or discuss full production package deals for singles, EPs, or albums.
Pricing & Payment
How much do your services cost?
Pre-production (Song Mapping, Creative Direction, Demo Production) // $50 per hour
This covers all the creative planning, arranging, and support to help shape your project before recording.
Studio Recording Time // $95 per hour
Professional recording sessions at our Bunbury studio, including engineering, high-end equipment, and a comfortable, supportive environment.
Post-Production & Mixing // Starting at $190 per song
Includes balancing tracks, effects, and creative input to get your song sounding great. Final price depends on project complexity.
Mastering // approx $47.50 per song
The final polish for your music, ensuring it’s ready for cohesive streaming, radio, or CD.
All prices are transparent and reflect the essentials needed to take your project from idea to finished record. Every project is unique—if you have special requests or want to discuss extras, we’ll cover those together as we plan your project!

Working With Us
How do I get started?

Initial call/meeting to understand your music and vision
You’ll receive a project plan, price guide, and production timeline
Once clear to begin, a contract outlining scope, revisions, and deliverables will be sent
Weekly check-ins and updates throughout your project
Friendly support, even after your project is finished!
How long does a project take?
Typical Timeframe: 1 day per stage, per song, for pre-production/tracking/post-production/mixing/mastering.
A song typically takes approx 2-3hrs pre-production time, and 1-2 hrs recording time.
Timelines can vary depending on your project’s size and needs
Can I bring my own musicians?
Absolutely! You’re welcome to involve your own musicians, or we can provide experienced session players.

Studio & Equipment
What equipment do you use?
We use Studio One and Pro Tools, Shure microphones, and a range of professional gear to ensure high-quality results. If you have your own gear you'd like to use, bring it in too, there's plenty of room!
Can I visit the studio before booking?
Of course! Contact us to arrange a visit.
How do I book a session?
Reach out via our website or social channels. We’ll respond promptly to lock in a time.
How far in advance should I book?
We recommend booking at least 1–2 weeks ahead, but last-minute sessions may be available, just ask!
Do you work weekends or evenings?
We’re flexible! Let us know your schedule and we’ll do our best to accommodate.
Deliverables & Revisions
What do I get at the end of my project?
You’ll receive high-quality, Mastered, ready-to-release audio files (WAV/MP3), plus any artwork, videos, or additional materials you’ve requested.
How many revisions are included?
All projects include a set number of 3 revisions after tracking (outlined in your contract). We want you to be 100% happy, so let’s talk if you need more tweaks.
Other Questions
Do you do remote/online projects?
Yes, we work with artists remotely as well as in-person. Let us know your preference.
Do you offer student discounts?
Yes! We support young musicians with special rates. Ask for details.
Can you help with promotion or distribution?
We can advise on next steps and connect you with industry contacts for promotion, distribution, and more.

For just $50, you’ll receive a professional demo review and a relaxed, personal chat about your music—covering your strengths, areas to grow, creative direction, and practical next steps.
